Downloadable Books
From GRPLpedia
Downloadable books are digital eAudiobooks or eBooks available to download from the Internet. Downloadable eBooks can be read and viewed using NetLibrary's online reader or Adobe Reader. Downloadable eAudiobooks can be played and listened to on any personal desktop or laptop computer supporting Microsoft Windows Media Player v9 and above, Musicmatch Jukebox v8.2 and above, or Nullsoft Winamp v5 and above. To download books you must have a broadband Internet connection and be signed up for a NetLibrary account using your Grand Rapids Public Library card.
After your favorite titles have been downloaded to your computer, you can transfer them onto a wide range of portable digital devices, including media players, Pocket PCs, and select smartphone devices. Please note that if you use an iPod or Microsoft's Zune, you can only download the titles that are available in .mp3 format; to do this, you will need to use NetLibrary Media Center and then manually transfer the .mp3 files to your device. For more information on downloading books see the NetLibrary help page.
